Losing weight is hard enough by yourself, when you live with someone else it is easier if you are on the same page.
Do it together:
When you are out for a bite to eat, learn to share. Dining out should be a treat and not a pig out, enjoying a night out should not cause stress and guilt. Sharing an entree and even some appetizers is a great way to cut back on calories and still have something enjoyable.
Work out together. Make it a competition or just cheer each other on. A great way to learn together and push yourself. Try something new by trying their favorite workout and then have them try yours.
Do the food shopping together. When preparing healthy meals at home, if both people chose the foods, then you both have the opportunity to enjoy the meal.
Identify the sabotage. If one person is sitting on the couch eating potato chips and other is eating celery sticks, usually the chips will win. Agree on healthy rules within the home you can both live with.
Have fun with healthy practices together and talk it out, if you share the lifestyle you will both win without anyone dragging the other one down. Keep each other motivated.
If everything else fails there is always boxing...great workout and releases frustration!
