Make it a treat not a cheat!

How often do you hit the drive thru at your local fast food joint? How often do you eat dessert or grab a quick sugar fix?

How many excuses do you use to convince yourself that you deserve to have the sweets or 'not good for you' foods?

What if you could turn towards healthier eating, go on a diet, improve health and still have a treat?

Some diet plans will give you a 'cheat day', which puts that label on the foods that you should not be eating. You have to dig deep to find a reason to eat it. When you change your diet and your food habits, focus on the 'right' way to eat, then have a treat. If you are eating healthy, enjoying your food and know why you are eating in this 'new' way, then when you go to the fast food joint, grab a candy bar or slip in a candy, it is actually a treat. For no other reason than you don't have it often, it actually makes the food special and has the rightful title of treat.

No more cheating, just take the foods that would be considered a cheat, or unhealthy or high calorie/bad for you stuff; turn these foods into a 'treat'. You will be amazed when you hold off from having such foods such as cookies, fries etc because they have a different value now. They actually have a good title and a positive force to them. You start to respect them as 'The Treat'.

There is power in eating healthy and putting different foods in their place. Salad and veggies with a great fish dish, should be cherished as a great body and mind builder, eaten often; where donuts should be respected as a treat eaten once in a while.
